Procyon
I have installed and reinstalled the drivers of this sound card from internet and the drivers cd, but even so, I can't hear anything. This card worked fine for an older computer, but it doesn't respnd to the new one.
Procyon
Update:Is not a drivers problem. All the sound of games and windows work only with the sound card integrated to the main board, but do not use the Sound Blaster Live! How can I detect which sound card has a better quality, and how to establish which one will be the main sound source?Thank you
Phoenix
What two options do you have?SB Live! and an onboard sb?Use the SB Live!!See if you put all PCI cards in good place..See if you connected ALL the cables..Use the disc comming along with the card.Should work fine... erjin999
Disable the onboard soundcard from within BIOS...
Phoenix
and put the audio cables into the SB Live! outlets...
Procyon
Isn't there a way that does not involve BIOS or cables?Or is possibly to have both working?Strange enough, when I connect my subwoofer directly to the SB Live!, the only thing I can hear are the test sounds and music of that soundcard driver software. That is proof that the connection and drivers are working.
gryphon
you can work with both enabled. Although I don't recommend it.Go to your configuration panel. Sounds and Audio devices and browse through the tabs to select to proper audio device to use for each soundgroup.
Phoenix
I have the audigyZSAlso a SB live groupie.. I had also some problems in first place and suddenly it worked fine...check in you creative console (same where you also use the test sounds) if you have analog audio instead of digital signals.. Procyon
Oftenly, the best solution is the simplest one.I didn't remember those options. Thanks gryphon and phoenix.
