Vanguard3000
bought a refubished monitor a few days ago. It's a flatscreen crt monitor (that is, it's not totally flat; only the screen is, and it's got a sort of anti-glare coating on it. Trouble is, there's an area of the screen where the anti-glare stuff seems to have been wiped off. as a result, there's one bit of the screen that's brighter than the rest. Is there any way to either replace the coating, or get rid of the rest of the coating altogether (i.e. with nail polish remover or whatever). Also, will removing the coating really make things difficult, glare/reflection-wise? I've never had a flatscreen before, so I don't know. gryphon
if it's an Iiyama contact their support department. You might get a replacement. You won't be able to get it back on yourself. You can remove it though.Usually with something that agressively cleans glass.
erjin999
I have an Iiyama and I used Nail polish remover to remove a pen mark, but it did nothing for the coating.Which for me is good.
Phoenix
Eat a bag of chips (or 2), then move your hands all over the screen might work... :P
Vanguard3000
It's a refurbished Sony. I don't think I'd be able to get a replacement from them if it's refurbished.
erjin999
Take all of the filter thing off, then purchase a seperate screen filter for it ? Dont know if they are the same type of coatings and protect in the same way.. :-
