3d or 2d????? that is the question:)

Well i was just wondering since Emperor came out... what do people like better.. Now myself i like dune2000 because it is 2d.. but i havent played Emeror yet so i dont know.. but in the past i havent liked 3d games.. So what do u people think.. 3d or 2d

I would think it depends on the GamePlay. Graphics are only a 2nd objective when making a great game, because if it is all beautiful and the gameplay is impossible, then not many would buy it. But if you have great gameplay and kinda good graphics, it would be a good game, with great graphics, a great game. So, in conclusion, I'd pick Dune2000 because it's 2d but with great gameplay. But that may be only my opinion.

Who are you kidding pal? Emperor has excellent graphics, (while frankly Dune 2K's blow.) And the gameplay is good. I'd pick emperor.

3d is better if not just for the explosions just the graphicial animation of some of the 3d games on the market (Emperor included). 3d does not make a game alone IMPO.

The explosions are 3d, yes, superimpesed over the 2d game units and things.

D2000 is 2d. There are BMPs for the unit models.

I'll vote both,

Dune2k still fine with me, but EB4D offers great 3D gameplay EVER, but it'll slow down (...even with mine athleon 1.3 +geforce2mx)

yea dune2k is great but eb4d looks nicer has a better, plot, gameplay, etc.
