jacobdouds
Any idiot can fire a weapon. But they are trained for combat and survival skills. You run out onto the battle field with a rocket launcher and you are the first to be gunned down. You need training.
Timenn
But you have also commando's who are better trained then soldiers...
Terror
i don't think that harkonnens are not trained... they're so bored they just don't do anything else than train.... by practising on slaves
gryphon
We are talking about fictieve computer generated units are we ? ;DThe are as strong as the programmes made them. But maybe he did thought of a higher Atreides moreal when making the ranking system. ;)
Timenn
Thanks, that what I was trying to say...
jacobdouds
They thought of the idea that atreides were loyal enough and well trained enough to help train other. Where as the Harkonnen train by killing. Which means you can't train them without killing your own.
Sardauker-Kirov
If the Harkonnen are so Savage why do they even live on the Same planet!! Â ::) Why dont they slaughter each other off then? If they are so "Unloyal"
jacobdouds
It is the Ordos that are unloyal. The Hark's are ruthless but don't kill their own unless they have/want/no reason to
nampigai
So it make the Harkonnens loyal that they only kille their close ones when they have a reason? hmmmm
jacobdouds
I lost track of what I was talking about as well.
Timenn
Harkonnen are loyal to the baron, but no to their equals, Atreides are, and that's why they help each other and train each other. The reason why you can send infantery back in Emperor. But Harkonnen wouldn't kill their equals because they reliase that they have to win a war and killing your mates is not the best way for winning
jacobdouds
The worm knows all and sees all. He must be a God. That makes two for my new religion.Gob, and Timenn. Hail thee.
Terror
in the dune miniseries you also see a couple of atreides guards which are kinda sissy's attacked by harkonnen... cool guys with heavy guns and black masks
jacobdouds
I thought that Miniseries was very crappy in quality. The ornithopters look like flicky bugs. Those little brown clicky moth bug things.
Terror
i know... i didn't like the orni's either... but they were designed like they were described in the book so

jacobdouds
The book describes them as planes that fly with wing motions, give or take a few words. Not that they use fans stuck in the wings.
Terror
hmm well... you got a point there.... i liked the orni's in emperor best...
jacobdouds
I WIN!!! Butyes, Emperors do look the best, apart from maybe in Dune 2000 cutscene of atreides. It looks good there.
Sardauker-Kirov
I like the Orni of Dune 1 lol.The Orni Wing's looks like a bird in BFD. Â :-X
Terror
they're supposed to look like wings... and well. the dune1 version was ok... though i can't remember it too well
Sardauker-Kirov
The Wings of the Ornihopter looked like a Bee or something. It moves with very high speed.
IxianMace
How could anyone that has played Dune 2000 forget about it? :O I used to play it over and over as well. I've even got the save game files for all the levels for all the houses on all difficulty settings backed up to floppy disk. Â ;DEmperor really does rock, but I must say that Dune 2000 was (and still is) a great game for its time.
Terror
it was pretty cool... the only problem that i had with dune2000 that is wasn't very original...
