Apparently, the "oscar-awarded-supre-monkey-movie" director Spielberg will collaborate with Electronic Arts on three games under his direction...:

Yeah, its in the news. Seems its 3 new films not based on any movies. But like you said, it had to be EA  :-

The big thing, I believe, is that these games will be just like any other games. Overhyped and linear. Sure, Spielberg may be a top-notch director, but really - what will he really invent that is new and imaginative? I wish his games will have at least some choice and moveability in them.

But to be realistic, EA has not impressed me, and I believe they have not impressed many of you either. Their games are strictly linear, weak stories, and often the same themes that have been introduced by other game-makers a long time ago.

Don't even mention a WW2 shooter to me...  >:(

You mean Medal of Honor and Call of Duty?? They're the most linear games I ever played. But they're cool...

The reason why it is EA is beacause they were the ones who bought his Dreamworks Game studio off of him.

Yeah he did.  They made Medal of Honor.  It was Dreamworks something.  It was basically a division of his dreamworks movie studio.
