How exactly then do you resolve the Twin Paradox? Is it as simple as the travelling twin requiring an acceleration to turn back, thus defying the inertial frame assumption?

Apparently, but I'm not entirely convinced by that - wouldn't the requirement for consistent inertial frames mean a fixed aether?

If you want to travel into the future, go to sleep and don't wake up for x amount of years.

If you want to travel into the past, read a good book. Or talk to God because its otherwise impossible.

alot of interesting points, time is always somewhat of a minefeild of a topic, it crosses so many area's of science, but i enjoyed the read

Was it really? could it be that someone from 2 months ago travelled forward in time and reignted the fuse. Interestingly enough, that is true. Although I suspect they did it the long way, one second at a time.
