Can you play as mercanaries or other sub houses in this game?

Once again EOD no you can not play (in Dune2000) as any other Houses except for Atreides, Harkonnen, and Ordos. All other fractions in Dune2000 are AI controlled. Although you can take over their base in later missions playing as the Harkonnen (mission 8 or 9), just send an engineer to their Con. yard and they will become part of your fighting forces.

You can edit the .ini or whatever to rename a house to Mercenaries right? That would be sort of the effect.

But the Smugglers are the same technologies as Ordos. Look at the buildings...

Red,Blue & Green are for main houses.brown,purple & yellow are for sub houses! 8)
