Alright, I've been playing this game for about a week now, and I'm addicted.  It's an online puzzle game that is extremely simple in layout, but the complexities of its design have managed to turn my brain into goo on more than one occasion.  This game should only be played by those who have above-average problem solving skills, an ability to think laterally (i.e. "outside of the box") and lots and lots of time. :)

The game is called Not Pr0n, and it professes itself as being "the hardest riddle available on the internet".  I have to say that I agree; it may start off relatively easy, but the challenges become harder and harder the more you progress.

The game takes the form of a single web page with a picture for each 'level', which are all numbered.  The goal on every level is simply to reach the next one.  This may sound easy enough, but I can guarantee that after a couple of levels, you will be stuck trying to reach the next.  Not Pr0n makes you do anything and everything in order to discover the way to the next level.  Clues must be found in a multitde of different places, including Web Searches, editing of the picture, picture information analysis, viewing the source code... the list goes on, I can assure you.

The two main methods for progressing to the next level are Username and Password entry, or URL changing (i.e. changing the page in the address bar).  The fun part is finding and using the clues to do so. :)  And before you ask, no, you don't have to be a computer expert to do these puzzles.  A couple of tips may be required by those who aren't as versed in computers as most, but I can assure you that the highest level of computer skill required of me so far is the ability to alter certain elements of a picture in Microsoft Photo Editor.

For those of you who like puzzle games, give this a shot.  If you truly enjoy a challenge, then you'll love Not Pr0n.  If you need any help, just post your questions here, and I'll try my best to answer them; I won't give spoilers, and I don't want anyone else posting them either... not even in hidden text!  But I can help with hints and step by step tips if needed.  There are 81 pages to this puzzle, and I am currently on Level 76.

Come and join the fun. :P

I played  Not Pr0n some time with my friends. Quite addictive and fun, but the farther you got the more irriatating the maker of the game seemed to get. I.E the comments were more like "IDIOT! Not here!" than "Try something else."

Also some of the riddles were quite biased and targetted for a special group of people.

If you think Not Pr0n is hard, try This is not porn.

Well, as I said, I'm on Level 76.  So far, the riddles haven't been biased at all, aside from one or two which assumed you knew that the creator was from Germany.  But every riddle can be solved using information from the picture, the page or using Google to search for it on the internet.

Anyone who like puzzles should give it a try.  And I'll give that other one a try after I've finished this one... I'm trying to limit myself to one mind-melting puzzle game at a time. :P

If I remember correct, there were at least 2-3 riddles that were purely based on music.

Yep.  And most of it revolving around a particular band, as well, but this doesn't mean it's trageted for a special group of people.  The riddles are meant to be difficult... if you were aware of this band / listened to them, the riddle would become easy, no?

The object of such riddles is to simply look on the net and locate the appropriate information. :)

Yep.  The notes that were being played were listed in the source code or something.  You had to analyse them and figure out the puzzle from there.

Honestly, there is not one puzzle on Not Pr0n that can't be solved by looking through the internet for a bit. :)
