Faulty predictions from scientists in the 50's

I think World Peace is possible, but not by everyone living in perfect harmony. If it ever does happen, it'll Dune style, with one big-ass all-powerful emperor / dictator controlling everything.

George Orwell... yeah, I really got to read that book.  I'm reading through all of the Dune books at the moment, though, and they are more important. :P

Currently on God Emperor, intending to read all the way through the originals and then onto the prequels. :) Though with my tendency to do other things than reading, me actually finishing all of the Dune books might be another thing scientists laugh at in 50 years time. :D

I started reading Heretics, and I have a lovely first edition print of Chapter House, but I haven't had time to finish them. :(

I haven't even finished Brave New World, and I've written a 2500 word coursework comparing it to Dune. :S
