Since I do not know what handball is, unless it is floor hockey (you have similiar rules as hockey, except on equipment and you play on the floor on knees and make a ball out of  paper and tape).

If it has to do with hockey, Canada should win. ;)

Think soccer using just your hands.

Well, there speaks mr. Englishman. I think it is well known to the world that English people don't have a clue on what good sports are (e.g. football, darts, cricket)

;)

Handball is a fast game, in which you need to shoot the ball in the other side's goal (duh) You may use your head or chest to touch and play the ball. Hands (+ arms) are allowed too, and it is recommended that you use them instead.

it's 7 people vs. 7 (that is 6 field players + keeper)

Around the goal is a half circle, in which neither the offensive or defensive player may come, except for that one keeper. This results in a wall being created by the defensive players, who try to prevent the offensive players from coming to close, or shoot the ball from a too close distance (like 9 m)

The offensive players try to create "gaps" within that wall, by playing around, and thus to sneak through with the ball, and score... (shooting from too far is almost always unsuccesfull, unless the player can get a clear shot from not too far)

While officialy physical contact is not allowed, you can imagine that it happens all the time. That is what makes the game quite rough, and therefore fun!

About the world cup. It isn't really broadcasted here in NL, channels here are too lame for it, but I believe it is being broadcasted on German TV (ARD?, ZDF?) ?

Out of interest, do you follow the darts in the Netherlands - I know you've goat some good players (ok, mainly Barneveld, vdVoort), but, well, it's hard to tell just from that if the darts is actually well watched by the Dutch.
