kingzeus
I've been trying to figure out the usefullness of the 3d besides it looking pretty. How can I use it strategically? The position the computer starts me in always seems to be fine....-KingZeuswebmaster:http://www.cncrenegade.com
Gobalopper
It helps to zoom in to see which infantry is which... it looks pretty... uh... :)
Edric O
3D is... ummm... pretty... I guess. :)The games of today are 3D just because the fans want them to be. And why do the fans want 3D games? 'cause they look prettier...
peseverance
the 3D in BFD sux majori see no use for it except eat your memmory.Tell me one instance you moved the camera to get a better view (not counting stuffing around)Onl thing WW did with this was to make the scenary pretty (rocks and all) and the height advantage thingy
Edric O
But if you needed to move your camera around to get a better view, people would be complaining about it! So you see, there's no "better way" to do it.
Guest Childboy
I don't really use it "stratigically", I mean, I don't even rotate at all. I use zoom tho, it KA. I call it the Diablo View (closes zoom), Red Alert View (Normal Zoom), and Contra View (Bird-eye).
Guest HeavyFlea
I think it can be an aid in strategy.I rotate the view when setting up defenses, when heading into a battle and when defending attacks.I don't usually zoom in very far. I'll zoom out, rotate the view to what I want then zoom in a little.I find moving around while holding the right mouse button is better than the arrow keys, then just hold the left to rotate. Very slick and quick.I suppose I could pull off the same strategies with 2d, but it looks much better in 3d.
cyclonus
Rotating is vital to use space, properly and on arrakis rock is rare and precious. Zoom is good for showing off you 3d card.
