Hi, I would like some info on the Major and Minor houses that were around during the Dune and Dune Messiah eras, possibly for an upcoming game.

I need this information:

Name of the house

House leader

Family characteristics

Marryable daughters/sisters

Symbol

Overall style

For example:

Atreides

Leader: Duke Leto Atreides - Paul Atreides

Family characteristics: Sharp, noble face, quite skinny, grey eyes.

Marryable daughters/sisters: none

Symbol: Hawk

Style: Noble and aristochratic. People loving.

Ix

Leader: Rhombur Vernius

Family characteristics: ?

Marryable daughters/sisters: Kailea Vernius

Symbol: ?

Style: Secretive, highly technological advanced.

Name as many you can think of please! Thanks!

Yes, you sure can.  Kailea Vernius is actually Rhomburs siter and married Duke Leto, but in my version of Ix she's Rhomburs daughter (so she can marry Paul Atreides). I'm going to make a sequel to Dune 1, but I don't want Paul to automatically marry Irulan, I want him to be able to choose from brides from different houses :D.

Excluding feyd then.

And yes a harkonnen was a coward. An Atreides had one branded a coward at the battle of Corrin.

Thats why they hate each other

That's just what history tells us. In the original books there was never any mention of the exact circumstances, and the prequels don't count. Since they seemed to be going in exactly the opposite direction when I gave up in frustration anyway, I doubt the prequels would have had much to add.

how about:

they don't take front row in fighting but let others do that for them they bribe they use secret agents to poisen others kill athers all behind closed curtains.

the baron hides behind his guards and even his cousin's can't just walk in his room because of the shields

there

edit:

adn it doe say that a harkonnen was banned from the battle of corrin because he was a coward thought it was the first book (original books)

That's not cowardice, it's pragmatism. And just because it is claimed a Harkonnen was a coward in a battle, does not mean that they were.

A bit generalistic. Feyd was not fat, and none of the Harkonnen were cowardly.
