On a side-note of the Exam Results thread in General, I thought I'd post my thoughts on the computer I should be getting for University.  Take a look at it here - you'll find all of the specs there.

Now, personally, I think that is a pretty decent computer for that price.  I can just about afford it at a stretch, so I think I'll buy it.  But I've been hearing bad things about Tiny... people saying that a Tiny PC is more trouble than it's worth.  But I'm soon to be a very poor University Student... should I or shouldn't I?  And are PC's too much trouble to get if I'm going to be moving about every couple of months?

Oh, the many decisions I must make...

Looks good to me.

I went to university at first with a Pentium II 300mhz

Then I got a new one :P

Computers are not hard to lug around. The desk the computer sits on is the only problem I have every spring and fall. (I dont take desk home for Christmas, too much work)

Why would you be moving it every couple of months? (nevermind). I only move it twice a year. Once around January 2-7, then April 20-30, then September 1-8, and December 15 or so. So I take it home for Christmas, and for the summer when not in school.

My Uncle went to Uni with a P1 100Mhz

BAH HA HA HA HA HAAAAA! :D

Thanks for the reassural.  As long as it doesn't explode or anything.  Only problem is that, as EWS pointed out to me on MSN, it doesn't say if the RAM is 2x512MB or 1x1024MB.  If it's the latter, and my RAM decides to spontaneously combust, then I might as well, too.  No RAM is still a bad thing, as far as I'm aware.  Meh... I'll just devote like HALF MY HARD DRIVE to Virtual Memory!  Bwah ha haa...

Or not. :-

The tiny website was down when I tried to look at your pc, (not a good sign) would you not be better getting a laptop for uni, you can get one off of eBay quite cheap,(
