Also, if you join tripod or whatever, it will often have a somewhat basic online html editor included.

i noticed that if you use your ISP's free website thing they usually have a program that you can use to make a website using templates and stuff... and you dont need to know any HTML

however i dont believe you can do nearly as much as you could (layout, graphics wise) as if you coded your own, however codeing your own uhh you have to get ur graphics somewhere...

Been a few years since i've messed around with site builders that your talking about, but i think geocities had one of those. It pretty much built it for ya. cheesy, but you can build a site. I think what your refering to and looking for is called a WYSIWYG builder.
