If you thought Interplay was bad (it was :'(), now Impressions Studios is closing/closed.

Found out at a Lords of the Realm 3 messageboard.

So I guess it is old news (May, 2004), but I never knew.

I own Lords of Magic: Special Edition and Lords of the Realm II.

They were obviously my fav two games. (Lords II one of my all time)

Ceasar was also a good game.

So who will be shut down next?

And Lords 3 I'm pretty sure is not good, especially because of the dxt thing you need for your vid card which many people do not have. (So dozens of people bought the game thinking they could play it, yet their vid card does not support it. rofl)

hey, I loved impressions! hehe

though I agree interplay had a great team, and were probably one of the most groundbreaking game making enterprises. in fact they were a lot better in many ways.

but impressions was a good company too.

You never played Lords of the Realm 2?

Go play it now! Very good strategy game.

Meh.  I'm not a big fan of medieval RTSs.

It is a turn based strategy game with real time battles. ;D

yeah. Lords of the Realm 2 was great. As was Ceasar 3. However, Interplay was a bigger hit to me.

It is one of the best games out there.

And it is free at HotU.

But I could never get it and the siege pack to work from there.

Wonder if Sierra is next, as they are the next best company that is still running. (With exception to EA.)

They made some decent games I have Merchant Colony, Pharaoh and Cleopatra. Impressions has been around for about maybe ten years, was it financal reasons for their closing.
