Are we talking Empire of the Ants here?  The one with wierd uncle Edmond and such?

Yes ! Empire of th ants ! But you cannot found the others books in other languages ! Only in French !

I've read "Les Fourmis", and i loved it ! Actually, i'm in LOTR of course ! ;D

Didn't know that the second and third parts haven't been translated at least in english yet...

I did't know there were more books.  My mom had read Empire (I don't know what posessed her to get it from the library; it's not really her type of book), and recommended it to me.  It was pretty good, although bizarre (that female police officer sure was rude!  ;)), and a lot of the ant stuff is pretty farfetched (like the whole tank maneuvre), but it is interesting nonetheless.  If they have translated the rest, I would love to read them, as the end of Empire was a bit of a cliffhanger.

Personally, I'd recommend it, but if you can't read the original French version, realize that it has been translated, so it may not sound like poetry all the time.  Aside from that, it's an interesting story.  The "politics" of the anthill is pretty interesting.

In french the word "Empire" doesn't appear. So it sounds strange to me.

Yes it would be great if someone could translate the two sequels in english, because they are actually following and really completing the first (which is the best one). Werber wrote also the famous (in the novel) Encyclopedy whose his little preambles have been excerpted, in french : L'Encyclop
