Necroticon Posted January 27, 2004 Share Posted January 27, 2004 I have a problem. When i install Emperor, it gets to 99%, says that it is creating the shortcuts, then quits. I tried the game on a friends computer, and it should go to a screen with 3 choices. On mine, it just quits.When i try to run the game, it freezes my comp. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(Specs:WinXP-ProPIII 667MHz192MB SDRAM32MB ATI Radeon 7000 Series6G-ish HDDI have norton 2003 installed, but not running. Atomic Mitten Posted January 27, 2004 Share Posted January 27, 2004 Have you installed the SP 1 service pack ?Also you have to completely uninstall Norton before installing Emperor.Check out the tech issues Norton thread.Another note is your comp is very slow for a game like Emperor. Besides, i wasnt even thinking about multi, only single. Ive finished dune, dune 2, and dune 2000, and i want to finish this.Hang on, ill try kiling off norton. Ive never used it anyway. Atomic Mitten Posted January 28, 2004 Share Posted January 28, 2004 Nav isn't very compatible with Emperor and several other games.I would advise you though to get a firewall,especially when your online on a forum etc.I recommend McAffee Firewall version 4.0 or McAffee 2004. Apart from an automated thank you, they not seem to be interested in getting it fixed. All we can do now is recommend Norton users to switch to McAfee.
