Atomic Mitten Posted December 1, 2003 Share Posted December 1, 2003 Hmm, I bought an application called skip the disc, virtual disc version 4.3.3 this supposedly allows one not to have to put the original cd in the CD drive,to prevent an original disc from becoming useless through being scratched etc.I needed the original disc to copy it to my virtual drive, which it did albeit with 15 read errors.It will start the game , but on single skirmish or multiplayer games, emperor asks for the disk to be placed in the drive.In other words it doesn't work ! only with the original disc. I presume this is a copy protection that prevents a full copy of the CD to another drive.I did read somewhere that it is possible to do this,but I don't remember where I read it.If anyone knows how to do this, please let us know.Or could maybe someone in the USA ring up EA games and ask them how to do it ?
