Timenn created a 'modswapper' program that could do this, however the mods that you were going to switch in between required a certain file to be present in order for the program to be able to work.

The point is that even when all the those files were present (Salvatore made them for all mods) nobody really used such a program.

The best thing for modders to do now is to make neat (!) installers which activate and deactivate a mod without removing the default files.

I already made it and removed it from this site. Because it had a small but fatal bug, and since no one noticed that, while the download was up for some time, I had to conclude that no one really used that program.

Now I know how do to it while having it work much faster and saving disk space. But I don't want to put time in something that won't be used.

But we are getting slightly off-topic right now. We always can continue this somewhere else (in Dune Editing there is a thread)

This will also work in Campaign mode. Since the campaign missions are normally just skirmish games with special items hidden in it (like the mission stuff) but the attacks and the base building of the enemy is the same as it is in skirmish mode.

So yes, the campaign mode will be affected.
