The patch gives three units, Atreides-Thumper unit(attracts worms), Harkonnen-Sardaukar(fremen without cloaking), and Ordos-Stealth Raider(Ordos Trike that cloaks). These units only work in multiplayer mode; to get them you need to build and upgrade the factory that produces them. For Thumper and Sardaukar that is barracks, and for Stealth Raider it is the light factory. Besides upgrading the factory you need to build a high tech factory. When you have done this, the option to build these units appears at the bottom of the unit build list, not in the same area as other units.

Sorry about that, is my face red. :-[ Thumper units come up when you upgrade barracks-you have to be in multiplayer with worms enabled(any house); grenadiers come with the high tech factory and the upgraded barracks.

I've downloaded the 1.06v patch and installed it into my Dune2000 directory. When I started the game my singleplayer don't worked anymore and when I tried to play it in practise mode it said that the wrong CD was inserted - game crash. Does anyone knows how to solve this problem??

I only have the C drive but my dune 2000 copy is a burned version (a friend burned it for me) so i had to install the crack first in order to play Dune2000 in v.1.00 I deleted ALL the old files (.sav etc) en installed both dune2000 and the v1.06 patch again but it still says 'invalid CD' when I try to enter practise mode. Does this come because it is a copied version of Dune2000 or is it something else?

There will undoubtedly be a more educated response later but for now, I would borrow your friends real copy, reinstall all the way to 1.06, before using the cd crack.

yes, i know... we are getting ripped off..

well i saw it for 3 euro's somewhere, but forgot where it was so... 5 euro was the next best thing i could think of.
