are you referring to his ram or the minimum requirements ram?

minimum RAM for the game is 128.. its true.. but as they said: dont expect to see water blumps or high resolution grafix..

256 is enough. I have 512 mb, but i find that it doesn't add that much more over 256 mb or ram.

And ofcourse they can make speculations about how well the game would run. I'm sure they tested it on quite a lot of computers, and some computers are just comparable. If a 2ghz computer with 512 mb of ram and a geforce 4 mx 440 would have 40 - 45 fps, then you can guess that your computer would have around 35 to 40 probably
