Kansas City Star Mentions the Butlerian Jihad book.

Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson seem to have hit their stride with Dune: The Machine Crusade (701 pages; $27.95; Tor). It is some years after Serena Butler's pyrrhic victory in Dune: The Butlerian Jihad. The plot is multilayered (read: convoluted), but Herbert and Anderson are on their own ground now, and taking their time in telling the history that leads up to Frank Herbert's Dune. No time for the tome? Try the unabridged, 22-CD(!) version ($59.95), read by Scott Brick. Good diction, good fiction.

SCI FI Channel Re-Teams With Spielberg and Bohem for New Television Event, 'Nine Lives'

Mentions Dune.

From the Emmy Award- winning projects Steven Spielberg Presents Taken, Frank Herbert's Dune and Frank Herbert's Children of Dune, SCI FI has single-handedly revived the concept of "event television."

If they make GEOD into a miniseries, would it have beaten this record?(or tied now)

MACHINE CRUSADE TOUR WEBLOG: Week 4 They are still updating it.
