Microsoft has now posted a fix for this virus on it's web site.

It takes 20 minute to download and install it, even using a ADSL connection.

I wonder if Microsoft have shares in A T & t or Bell etc. lol.

Well they caught the young Guy responsible for the Blaster worm, I see !

I wonder though how long it will take to repair the damage caused by it.

A friend of mine unfortunately went online without a Firewall, caught the worm and it destroyed his harddrive.

I wish the TV stations around the world would tell people not to surf the net without a firewall !!!

I suppose it's like AIDS people still have unsafe sex, even though they are aware of the risks, sheer stupidity if u ask me.

They cought a guy who was just editing a piece of the code, not even the creator of it. It seems that Rackspace has been ofline for a few hours recently. Pretty weird for a company like that. Same as a lot of companies who have changed to Akamai services recently, including Microsoft. .. . Surfing without a firewall should be possible I think, in my opinoin your ISP is recponcible for the security of their users. Or at least, they should be I think. . ;)

I think that due to the fact that several "virus creators" got hired by some big ass companies, you'll always have people trying to get in the same spot light.

If they'd punish those creators instead of giving them a job, it might be less of a threat...

Or university computers have the virus that shuts down the computer after a certain amout of time. No more power point slide lectures. ;D
