The other day it took me forever to win a QM against a guy's projections.  You may ask why.

He was using Ix and Guild, and kept projecting NIABs to take out my Minos.  I used Feds to stop most of his projections before they came into range, but the prob was that my own freakin' Minos were killing my own freakin' Feds!    I had Feds in place to stop his projections, then my  STUPID STUPID STUPID Minos had the audacity to *FIRE* at his projections and kill my own Feds in the process!

That leads to my dead, costly Feds vs. his free, infinite NIAB projections which are then free to obliterate my Minos.

This is terrible!

Units should ***NEVER*** (except for deviators or chaos lightning) be damaged by friendly fire in Emperor (was the U.S. Military training the Mino pilots or something????).

And there should be a command to stop my brainless Minos from firing at projections, but at the same time telling them to fire at all real units.   :'( :'( :O :(

switch to fed and Ix as sub houses and only use projected feds to protect minos so if they do fire at the enemy units in front of ur projected feds, then only the free projections are killed and ur real fed can be sneaking in to attack or something else.

DJ helping Nav, I never thought I'd see the day.

Nav, the best way to solve your problem would be to keep the minos away from your feds.  I know, it sounds obvious, mainly because it is.  Move yur feds up and keep taking at those projections.  You don't have to wait until they reach your base/front lines.

Friendly fire is part of the game, and you know that by now, as you've posted about this before (I will resist starting an argument on militaries in real life).  You need to learn how to handle it.  The game should be realistic in that sense.

Oh yea, did you lose again?

Hmm this is better for the strategy forum.

But build alot of scouts and place them where ever his/her projections go to. Ok when you detect a scout (and he/she loses a projection or more) he/she kill the scout. But when you have many of them that won't matter...

That's wonderful Nav, and while they're at it they should make your units invulnerable to enemy fire as well! After all, what's the use of not being affected by friendly fire if they still die because the enemy units actually SHOOT *gasp* at them?  ::)

I agree, friendly fires changes the game entirely. No more sendings of Infiltrators in a Mino-rush, so they will all fire at each other. Or send a group of EITS above the rush and let the Mino's shoot at all Saboteurs withIN the Mino-rush...

Just take care of your units... Emperor isn't so realistic, but this should stay...

Those who do not play ATR and therefore do not need to rely on Minos to win or even have a chance of winning games do not understand the pain.

It's like with Sards.

Sardaukar are high-trained troops. They can shoot without killing their own. And that counts for all units. But it is the IMPACT what causes the deadly friendly fire. And the place of impact is decided by the player...
