Do I need to get mappacks? Where and what is availible?

The mappacks can be downloaded from the starting page of dune2k, downloads-emperor-official mappacks.

Pictures of the mappacks can be found in the emperor essentials thread

Getting those mappacks is not compulsary but the maps are great to play on

wtf,is that postman riding a wheelchair-bound snail or what?I think the postman has ripped open the parcel and taken out the CD.Its quite common for postmen who in fact earn very meagre salary,to steal your post items.

In about 2 days' time if you still do not receive the mail,go buy one from a shop and consider this a "failed investment". :)

Ok here is the deal.....its been ____-ing ten days since I ordered it!!! What sucks even more is that I'm going on a 1-day cruise tommorow on the TR.. I was able to email the shipper and it was in MD 2 days ago..since I live in VA Beach it should be here todaY!!!!!!!

did u install them lol

did u install the shared internet components?

if u already have them from an older westwood game overwrite them

ok, ive just re-installed emperor because my buddy list was "acting up" ;)

here is what i did :

put in the emperor install disk

click install from the auto-run

click next

click agree then next

enter the serial number fomr the back of the book/case

click next

make sure install emperor and install westwood shared internet components are ticked/crossed (if u already have a WOL account u dont need the other and the desktop shortcut is up to u)

click next

(the rest is from memory, lol)

i just left the install locations as default so i just kept clicking next

click YES if it asks to overwrite

then wait for it to install

then click play

then after the into click multiplayer then internet (make sure ur connected)

then enter ur account name and password then click ok

wait for the auto download(s) to finish then patch emperor by restarting it

if u have restarting difficultys due to windows XP then just run it manually and it should do it...

then ur ready to play....

I cant see any games though..for now my brother and I are doing comp stomp....we tested it once and I accidentally let him build up like 20 mino's >:(. Oh well, it was just a test.... :-X

THIS GAME RULES!!!! I am having a lot of fun doing the campain (for my house) and doing lots of lan games with my bro. The grafics could be better but what counts is the gameplay. I love it when your infantry crawl over a bridge to avoid fire...Its great!!!

I made my nick..have the patch..and have been online but I guess just at the wrong times. I'm trying to get better at ordos, which is proving difficult...it seems alot of their units are meant for hit and runs but not the steady attack it takes to destroy a base. So it equates to a lot of casulties on my part :(. Oh well....life is life.

The hardest game I've played so far is: With my brother we faced a normal Atriedes and a normal Hark....it wasnt really that hard but the Atriedes had like 6 minos patrolling his base with mongoose= hard to crack through.

Well I'm haivng a blast!!
