of course they couldn't use 9 year olds. but maybe teenagers. Paul should also be younger in dune minisereis

Alec did great in the miniseries, he convinced me that he was 16 (or whatever) in original, dont think many people his age could act so young. (he looks older not shaved near end of mini which has transpired over some years)

To be sure, Wensicia should be also younger than Irulan. Mrs Sarandon shows her true age on first view, while Irulan's interpreter looks like a starting model. But that's not only problem of miniseries, if MacLachlan would play Leto and Prochnow (if shaved...) Paul, it may be also more accurate ;D

[hide]How about those fancy new cars ey?[/hide]

I dont remember the dune novels mentioning Irulan using her BG abilities to maintain her youthfull appearance... i though it was that other one.. aloivin? i cant think at the moment..

By the way...

[hide]In prequels she was about ten years older than Paul. Chani about five. If Paul took throne as 17 years old and ruled for 12 years, then when he last time "shared bed" with Chani, he was 29, Chani 34 and Irulan 39. Wensicia could be around 34-38, what can be only Mrs Sarandon's dream... But to be sure, Irulan looked good for her 48, if we consider main CoD 9 years after Messiah.[/hide]
