And that not much people visit Emperor Strategy isn't my fault. If they are too lazy that they want only discuss Strategy in this board then it is up to them.

Where did you guys get the bright idea of splitting a rather small emperor message board into like 10 different branches where the community gets widdled down into nothing because there is nobody who has enough time to check 10 different message boards every day. It's not like the boards would get cluttered if you just incorporated the strategy section into the emperor discussion section... Do you guys even take requests from board members? Because so far I have not seen a SINGLE board member who actually likes the board split into so many useless sections and yet the mods continue to employ this method of thread segregation. Perhaps it is just a means to make you all look powerful because you can move all these threads about at your own discretion? Weak. I say you guys suck it up and listen to the community on something. The EMPEROR community wants to be able to talk about emperor in one nice big discussion board not 10 useless ones where nobody looks. So why should it matter to the mods? We are the reason you have these message boards in the first place yet you continue to ignore any suggestions anyone has about anything. Just look at the suggestions thread... you have not taken into consideration a single one of those suggestions yet.

Heck, even when people make special requests for you to not move or delete their legitimate threads for a specific reason, you just ignore them and flex your "modding muscle" trying to show off or some crap. Trust me, nobody cares if we talk about emperor gameplay in the discussion forum. As a matter of fact, I bet EVERYONE would welcome it. So why are you guys living in your own little world out there where nobody has a voice because you happen to have acces to the moderating functions... Well I tip my hat to you guys for your community awareness and member appreciation ::)

I don't know what you mean, but there used to be 6 Emperor boards. 1 was this board, and 5 strategy boards. When those strategy boards became too empty, they were merged into one board. So there has been done some merging rather then splitting boards.

Now there are only 2 Emperor boards. And if it is really hard to look at 2 different boards then I can't help it.

Alot of suggestions of members have been put into work. Like the new Politics & Religion and Philosophy board. That was a suggestion of a member.

Try looking at the Site Updates Threads in General and you can see many requests which are now active.

Someone can request to not remove a topic, but when that topic is useless then it isn't the fault of the moderator who removed it. It's up to you to make good threads and posts. And when you think of one post that shouldn't fit in your thread then you can contact moderator and ask if that may be removed.

Ask around to members and they will tell you they sent a request for removal of certain posts and they were answered positively.

This is a board ran by people who that for their fun and in their own time. They are not obligated to anything. But they try to make it as good as can.

You are not obligated to stay, if you don't like it, then you can leave without any problem.

I believe this is getting offtopic, and if the creator of this thread agrees, then I'll split this discussion off the rest of the topic, and make it a seperate discussion

Suggestions/complaints are fine with me but its unlikely that I will have the desire or time to implement all of them, its just something you have to deal with.

Timenn, feel free to split this thread if you see fit, but i'd ask that you please keep it on this Emperor Board because that is what this discussion pertains to: the Emperor Board. and the Emp Board is the only place where the relevant audience will be able to read and participate in it. i don't mind if it's split or not (so don't feel like it's "required")

I do not hate this site. it's my fave site on the 'net. I just find certain things that are frustrating about it. that doesn't mean i want to leave. it's not like i'd divorce my wife the first time we had some disagreements (not that i have a wife). instead, i'd communicate about the issues to see if any compromise could be made. leaving, and starting our own Emperor sites is a very extreme solution. that would be like divorcing your spouse over some minor disagreements. this is the Official Emperor Board, so the largest audience for all things Emperor is always going to be at this board and only this board. that is why the focus is on this site, and the idea of starting our own Emperor sites isn't a very good solution because most of the very few people left in Emperor would never bother to go to them.

my suggestion here would not take much time to implement at all. all it would require is a simple new Fed2k policy, one which i could even write for you if you like, so as it takes up 0% of your time. right now, the Mods here are programmed like Robots: as soon as they see any post on the main Emperor Board which discuss actual Emperor Gameplay, they are "programmed" to ship it off to Strategy right away.

i put the question to you Gob: *why* must that be the case?

i can undestand that you won't merge the Strat Board with the Emp Board because some people just want to search for strats. however, i do not understand why Mods have to move threads which are not requesting strategies to the Strat Board when the original poster does not want them there.

If you have a problem with a moderator moving a thread just let me know but try to work it out with them first. If a thread could fit into both boards I don't see what problems there would be in having it in either board, whatever the original author wants.
