Hello to all of you modders out there...Im new here and working on a Mod -- I need Ideas if you can help- my Conversion is almost finished but i still nead subhouse and ordos ideas...the mod is as follows:

Harkonnen= Tleilaxu

Atriedes= Ixians

Ordos= Undecided...

Sarduakar= Sarduakar (and will stay as such)

Ix - Undecided

Tleilaxu- undecided..

Guild= undecided...

Two of the main houses Harkonnen and Atreides are already finished but ideas for units are welcome- but my main concern is the subhouses and house Ordos..I need something to convert them into..all help is aprieciated....

And if you mean is it possible for the TLWalker to explode leaving a TLLeech behind then no, it's not.

Don't destroy his youthful enthusiasm ;) Despite the fact that similar things have been done, and much of his stuff is impossible, perhaps something new will come of it :)

Perhaps replace the Ordos with the Richese.

Tleilaxu - organic sciences

Ix - mechanical sciences

Richese - religiously appropriate sciences

All three hate each other.

You can't get the tlwalker to explode like an infiltrator but you can get it to explode like the devastator.

Two recommendations:

1. post a lot less.

2. stop acting as if you're God's gift to modding. Unfortunately, a lot of this has already been done. The modding community isn't looking for repeats. While I am glad that you are interested, you should spend a lot of time thinking about this instead of making a sorta of combination of stuff that's already been done.

Really sorry...I didnt realize i sounded like that until i went back and read it..just excited about being part of Fed2k in some way but still i need concepts for the sub houses plz help!!!

How about i call it "New Blood"...to signify it as my first mod project ..Im writeing down all the ideas that i have and ill post the ones i like and see what you think - inoculator I hope it as good as some of yours and that new one your working on ;)

Just remember to be original. Fancy coding impresses modders but remember it shouldnt prevent normal players from enjoying the mod.

ill note that ..((i note alot of things lol ))Well The Richesse are being used quite alot lately..something i thought would be cool to save alot of anoyence would be stealth Harvesters and carryalls..Which could be provided to each house if the Richesse were a sub house...but then again them replaceing house ordos would also be good..Ive got an idea..Anyone out there who can tell me alot about the richesse as much as they know about them..what their stuff should look like and maybe some unit concepts..then ill decide wether they should go House or Sub-house.. ;D

completely stealth house enjoyable unique and fun to play... ;D

I think Richesse were like the Ix, only inferior in their technology, compared to the Ixians. :D ;)

Well i started redoing the buildings and some units for the ordos into richese last night- I gave them some incidental buildings that belong to the harkonnen so to give a sort of Darker Ix look...

Its comeing together quite well - my untis though are turning out the same in many ways i need a new fix

And i had a great idea..i hope if its not asking to much if someone could texture me up some Cyborg skins to go on the Sarduakar and Face dancer skin to go on the Adv Sarduakar..or show me how ;D

Inoc- how do i change the unit sounds for the already existing units .. does it have something to do with the sound and sfx txt files?

And I have decided to combine the Ix are really like a combination of scientist suboids and Mercenary smugglers that fight for a place in politics- sub houses though i am definately lacking

The sfx files are what you edit. I have little ability in that area, so you'll have to ask someone else for help there.

Would a suicide Carryall work- give it the Devastators ability to exlode and when you pick something up press "d" and BOOM..it sounds like it would ,Maybe i should test it or does any know for sure or not so i dont have to ---

And i thought hero units would be cool but how do you work a build limit if you can...Hero units would be cool -- two per house and subhouse and a special one for certain house+subhouse combos maybe if i feel like it ...

And im trying to keep my thread on one page so if you feel like delete past messages if you need to

How about for sub houses we have like HarkonnenTerorist and Ordos Smugglers AtreidesMartyrs or what ever if that sounds good ill do it but if not what would you like to see in a sub house?

carryall = true or canfly = true will cancel out devastator = true

Is there a way to make something simular with the EITS somehow? and still make it a carry all- or it would surely be possible with out the carry all feature but i really really think it would be cool

If not ill modify the EITS somehow and make a simpler version

Only a saboteur with saboteur functions may deploy from an EITS.

So if I replaced the sabatour and EITS with another unit it it wouldnt work...bummer :(

One of kingpins ideas was, I believe, to somehow make the unit shift xaf and abilities once it had deployed and landed. I'm not 100% on the specifics of this operation, but I'm sure some time would reveal the answer.

"The Thing" is a very god mod and has inspired me to make a smaller mod with only a few aloud units so to get the feel of it and make it unique like the thing mod..Ghostly Squire made it I think...any who would the Creater of this mod please stand up- I could use your help if you would be so kind as to let me ::)
