I am just curious. I wish to ask a question on this to all atheists out there. Does acriku stand as a model for ideals of the thought process' of atheism? Are those of you who are atheists in agreement on how he handles problems and issues? I really hope not. I know many atheists who are my best friends. They dont seem to be like this. Why does it have to be that you acriku are such a sack of dirt? the info you post is lackluster and cliche. Do you do it just to get attention? because you are not "enlightening" anybody.lol

Atheists are their own people. Of course some are not like me, probably a lot aren't, why should they be? Atheism has no bearing on how they go through their lives.

Simple answer. No.

If people want to believe their own religion (including Christianity) let them. I only ask that they allow me to be an Atheist of my own right, and leave me in peace. Which isn't much to ask IMO.

no way man, that isnt much to ask at all. you should be left alone with it and not get jerked around by people of religious ties. thanks for your answer. :)

I also want to add, that there are weak atheists, strong atheists, and everything between. Neither is better than the other, they are their own people.

in my experience...quite typical. to be honest, he is somewhat more cordial than the bulk of atheists you will find in such places as atheistnetwork.com who hold nothing back when it comes to hostility, hatred, anger, emotional outrage, outbursts....all directed at Christianity, of course (all other world religions ignored).

seems to be that ixianmace is the strong one because he is strong in his ideals and is comfortable with them. you seem to be weak because of your lack of temperance and patients. you seem to be uncomfortable in what you want and what you desire for. Ixian is somebody I can respect because he is secure enough in what he see's is right that he does not need to crusade for his ideas.

Actually, those people are very nice. But, some of them are fed up with the ignorance (and don't say they aren't ignorant) of these fundamentalists, and guess what? All of them are christian that go to the site to debate against atheists! Go figure ::)

If someone brought up Islam, they would discuss that. And there actually have been threads about Islam. But, most of them are about christianity, so what else are you going to discuss? Duh ::)

TMA, there IS no uniform thought process for atheism to be represented by. Each atheist's ideas and ideals are his or her own.

Emp, I think you should at least acknowledge that Acriku does have a point; of what I know, there are two Jews on the forum, one Muslim, and all the rest are either Christian, atheist or agnostic. Obviously the big heaters are going to be between the atheists and whatever religion is the largest. But your claim that we use Christianity as a scapegoat for all religions is just as wild as TMA looking for a scapegoat atheist in Acriku. It's more difficult to debate against individuals and their beliefs as opposed to taking your extremests and applying that nature of stereotype to the whole group. And I certainly don't victimize Christianity, emprworm. I mean, have you SEEN me rant off about Islam or Scientology?

What he said wouldn't apply to all ahiests. its just what the majorty of them belive. acriku does seem to to be agienst Christanty more then any other religion for some reason.

Well, I did read the Bible. I certainly don't hold all of it to all Christians, but I would go so far as to say that nearly all if not all believe in the story of Christ, the Jeudo-Christian God, and hold much of the bible to be true on some interpretive level...Do you dispute this?
