ABEL99AA
I got Emp. and played for about 2 weeks 5hrs a day. I didn't do anything else with my laptop but play that game. When I finaly broke away from it and tried to play a DVD my computer said that "NO DVD IS INSTALLED" I tried taking out, putting it back in, uninstalling, reinstalling, nothing. It doesn't say there is a problem with the drivers they seem to be working fine. It just says there was a problem installing this hardware. I'm running XP-pro on an HP laptop. Has anyone else heard of a problem like this? Logged :(
Nyarlathotep
Have you checked for updated drivers ? As far as I can remember, I haven't seen this problem before..
gryphon
I have had an A-open DVD drive that would refuse to read half my DVD's. Both data and retail film's. ... It did always worked fine, until after a clean install it didn't read any of the DVD's [ of the half in question ;) ]. No clue how to fix it, just bought a new one. But'll look for another option this time. :)
number6
Does Emperor/CDROMS still work in the DVD drive? If it is a DVD specific problem, then what DVD playback software do you use?
