Alright guys this is really a stumper and after efforts from myself and my other friend that is good at computers, i figured i should lay it on u guys and see if you had any suggestions.

Alright I have not been able to get Ghost Recon to work online. I have all the patches and full internet access. What happens when I try to start a game is.....

I log on to Ubi and get into the lobby. I find a game and go into it. It gets ready to start and ubi minimizes. The Ghost Recon screen comes up and acts like is going to load. The screen goes black and it goes back to the Ghost recon lobby. This happens everytime.

I have many other online games and they all work fine, no problems. This just stumps me I dont know what to do. I have tried to Re-Install the game, re-download the patches. I dont know what do you guys think. ???

Have you tried other games on the Ubi servers? I personally do not like Ubi servers, though. We might be able to centralize the problem if you answer.

Nah man the only games on got that have Ubi are Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon; Desert Siege.

For future reference its not Ubi.com, my friend runs GR perfectly, in fact, hes playing it right now.

Also, I've never had any issues on it so I doubt its Ubi...

I know this thread isn't about me, just throwing some more reference points in..

Oh ok. And you can play single-player? I believe you can use an i.p. address and connect to a server that way in Ghost Recon right? Atleast, that's what you could do with every Rainbow Six game...

I was just seeing if it the conflict between your computer and Ubi servers. If it isn't, then it's a conflict between Ghost Recon and your computer. Centralization ;)

It seems that you problem is when it tries to connect to the server, because it does start the game as normal, but upon trying to connect and load, it goes back to the game menu. Do you have firewalls possibly blocking the connection? Are there any dedicated servers you might try that Ubi has (doubtful but worth a try)?

well, taddaa. i got myself ghost recon as well... it was almost free anyway and i though that a tactical shooter might be fun

anyway... i will try it online as well... the only problem being that the patch is 45 megabyte... but i'll get it..... somehow

oki doki... got it.. patched it to version 1.4 and updated my ubi lobby to the newest version. AND IT WORKED :D

it was kickass fun, anyway. So you patched to 1.4 and also updated your ubi lobby?

are you sure that you select the right game to join? a game that is compatible to your version? As not everyone has version 1.4 .

Added to the fact that you have to download TWO pacthes, 1.3 and 1.4 and ones 45 meg and the others about 5-7 ;D

45 MB for a patch is ridiculous in my opinion. If it were for enhancements/additions to the game (new levels, characters, etc...) I can justfiy a large download, but a patch to fix bugs? Totally unsat.

well, who said it was to fix bugs? It's not that ghost recon had so many bugs.... in fact.. i hadn't discovered one yet.

it's truly hilarious online... well and scary. In every bush there can be a soldier.... And you can't discern them so easily... as my teammate had to experience ;D .

Just try what i did, i in--stalled and re-installed my ghost recon about 50 times befor UBI worked for me, but now it works, never did find out why it wouldent work when i first in-stalled it.
