It should really be written Eutopia. Have you heard of a dystopia? dus (duV) means 'bad'. u- as a prefix other than to mean eu has no meaning. un- means 'not', if that's what you're thinking of.

Ah. I see where it's coming from, now. ou means not - thought I've never heard of it being used as a prefix. I think it is probably ambiguous (else why not use Atopia or Achoria), unless the author of the book has written his intentional meaning.

*Boba starts thinking Ancient Greeks were damn stupid* *Wonders why they kept fighting among themselves like halfwitted morons (which, he strongly suspects they were) and didn't devote their time to finding or establishing a utopic state instead of just giving funny names & definitions and then forgetting about it*

My apologies to any Greek reader who felt insulted. Readers of other nationalities can go boil their heads for all I care.

They were some of the best organised people in the ancient world.

They kept fighting among themselves 'cause they had different philosophies: Spartans - highly militaristic, Athenians - highly democratic, others - monarchy, autocratic and so on...
