Why everyone sees this Iraq thing as such a big deal....

Worst case scenario: America goes to war and it lasts no longer then 7 months.

It isn't WWIII, not a lot of Americans will die, and people die in all wars. Sure you may say oil, and I may say freedom of people, both good reasons, so WHY is this such a big deal?

i don't know, possibly because so many countries are involved, and the outcome will change a lot of things...

Compare U.N deaths to Iraq deaths in Desert Storm. Compare the unit lost, the mechinical lose, Soviet tech vs US tech, we hit there tanks with ours and they couldn't even see ours, we bombed them to obliveration, I mean come on!

well, i never said that i would pick at it, or at least i didn't mean to sound like i said that, but, there will be a lot of deaths in this war, probably not as many as in others because of technology , but still a lot of Americans will die... it's an unfortunate thing, yes, but that's what comes from wars

Most of the American casualties will come from accidents and friendly fire. It happened in Afghanistan, it will happen now. This isn't like Somali, we have better tanks, smart bombs, guns, intel-gathering, spy planes, smart bombs, and guns. Times have changed.

For every succesful point in history we have to make some sacrifices...

But also there are tryings to make them as low as possible. Even if it could raise the cost or lower the firepower.

Well I meant in one sentence. Like : I hate things like biting dogs, cats, rap, biting dogs, and biting dogs. Do you think I have a more intense hatred for biting dogs than cats? :)

People also worry for the state of world politics, when they see powerful countries picking and choosing weaker ones on which to make war.

And not to forget that war always make the attitudes of countries worse.
