Has anyone read "The Stars Asunder" a novel on the "mageworlds"

I got it for christmas but have not started to read it. Is it worth reading?

Tolkein, Pratchett, and a few others but I really recommend This book .

The website is about two books, both of which are extremely good. Very extremely good. Brilliantly wonderful books.

The blurb on the back says the author should stand shoulder to shoulder with Tolkein. I'm not aure about that but he's definately close by; these books are great.
