I've seen others refer to working hard and keeping it because it was earned was greedy, and I just want to address my opinion and what I do with my hard-earned money.

I started working last June, 2002, at Publix. Since all the taxes that I had deducted were FICA, I had quite a bit of money to spend on anything basically. So, I saved up and bought an Xbox with Halo. I work hard at my job, so I think I deserve retribution. By the end of last year, I've satisfied my money splurge, and decided to deduct $5.00 from my weekly paycheck for a month, totalling $250.00 for the year. Now the whole point of this is to justify my opinion, that the money I earn is the money I choose to do with. And given that, I choose to give a good chunk of it to United Way. So hopefully this has let some to understand my position.

yeah I agree I save up my money and to reward myself for all of my hard work I buy a game greedy? no. I dont like to "lend" others money they never pay me back so its just lost money and I usually leave all but 10-5 dollars in my wallet to have enough to buy my self lunch. and when someone asks me for money I decline they go "greedy" and I'm like wtf??? and then they bitch about you not sharing and I'm like WTF? I mean just because I'm starving and dont give you half my lunch to you means im greedy?

One thing I can't stand is a mooch. A mooch is someone asking for money more than once. I would let my best friends borrow money anytime because I know they'd pay back quickly, and I usually have nothing to buy except a snack, but people that I barely know have the nerve to ask me to trust them enough to let them have the money I earned and who knows if they pay me back, I just can't stand that. If you don't have any money at the moment, live with it.

true true, the most I've ever lent someone was $4 but it was my best friends brother, whos 18, and he paid me back when fairly soon. moochers suck escpecially fat moochers they ask for some of your drink food... pisses me of stupid overweight hungry peopel eating too much even others food >:( >:(

well, i do lend out money quite often, once i even lend a 100 bucks, but they always pay me back, and i always remember them.
