Emperor's Computer/Narrator Voice is just Perfect - who did that voice?

I was wondering who did the computer/narrator voice in Emperor. Not the Mentats, but the voice in the tutorial and that tells you what's going on in the actual game.

This is the most perfect example I've ever seen of a "computer voice".

Some other examples of famous "computer voices" that have tried to achieve this effect and failed miserably, resulting in immensely obnoxious-sounding ear-piercing noise pollution with each word:

1. Dune 2000

2. Earth 2150 games

3. MP games of Jedi Outcast

4. Star Trek and Star Trek TNG

5. almost all tv shows/movies you could possibly think about

I don't understand why there is a "Bad Omen" hovering over the concept of pleasing-sounding computer voices. Or at least voices that don't grate at your brain and make you wanna pull all your hair out piece by piece as is the case with all of the above-examples. Emperor gets 5 Stars in this particular area.

Does anyone know the name of the actress who did that voice? I think all TV shows/movies/Video games that ever require a computer voice should hire her to do them. Then maybe the tradition of guranteed noise pollution any time a computer voice speaks may at last come to an end.

I believe that is Iona Morris who did the in-game computer voice... and I agree.. her voice is awesome!

That NOD voice in the spanish version hurts my ears!!! but is better than the GDI voice.

"Iona Morris" made the same voice of computers in other games?
