He wasn't an anarchist, he was one of the many people who wanted independence from Austria and a Serbian nation.

Plus I think it's an exaggeration to say that Germany was the main cause. Russia had pledged unconditional support for the Balkan people.

Serbia was independent, under more influence from Russia than from Austria. Princip was a member of anarchistic organisation "Black Hand", some kind of anti-Habsburg Al-Kaida. But they were pointed against feudalism as whole.
