Why do you have to have low graphics on internet games?

I'm woundering why does high graphics slow ebfd internet games down? I don't understand why cause my pc is fast and i'm using LAN for my internet connection.

The thing is, that with higher graphics settings it takes longer for older machines to process information, and thus it slows down. In such a case it's not a connection issue.

Mainly because it depends on your connection and comp, but online NO ones comp no matter what should be fully up on graphics even with T1 because its a good amount alrdy for WOL to process..

WOL only sets up the game. After that you're no longer connected to WOL.

Ok now i understand but one thing. What graphics settings do u use for internet then.

I set'em all the way low myself, look man, this is a rushing game and such a deep game that you'll be paying attention to war not "Ohh lookie at da prettyful butterfly"

The game will rock best with low graphics, shadows off and game speed on maximum ;)

I got Resolution really high, and i keep most things maximum except for shadows and landscape, and ive never had any problems.

Setting the shadows off does the real trick.

I've played with only that setting low (off) and the game went fast enough for me. I mean I never got any complaints about the speed
