so, anybody played this game? it's about 3 years old now. And i only recently started playing it.. but it's realy cool. Great graphix (modified Unreal engine) and a lot of great abilities (like throwing everything you got at your enemies)

no, Rune :)

you play as a viking in the scandinavian world (well in a fantasy setting, sort of)

You are a young boy named ragnar and just joined a group of protectors of the Rune stone. But then a messenger arives and says that an allied town is under attack and you and the rest of the warriors set sail to the village but underway you see another ship, and on that ship there are both your enemy, Conrack and your so called "ally" who betrayed you. And then with the help of the evil god Loki Conrack destroys the ship and everyone dies. But then Odin, the mightiest god of all appears and gives you another chance for revenge. From then on you have to fight your way through hell, and after that the vikings, called dark vikings as they follow the evil god Loki.

Now on to the awsome part. The way you operate your character is totally awsome. You have many different moves like in Jedi Knight 2 and combat looks realy great. Defending however does not happen like in JK2 with saber vs saber. But you defend with a shield, or in the case of a 2 handed weapon, by dodging enemies blows. There are a total of I think 12 weapons, it might be a few more though, spread over 3 types. These types are Swords, blunt weapons and axes. Also you can get "Rune power". With this power you can enhance your weapons. The enhancement differs from weapon to weapon. Like the Roman Swords is set on fire, or the Maul get's earth attack, etc.

oh i see it now, there are a total of 15 weapons (5 for each weapon type)

If you're talking about Rune by Human Head Studios published in 1999 ?

It's based on the Unreal engine, just as Unreal Tournament is.

eh yeah that game.... and for your information. Unreal and Unreal Tournament are both from epic, and perhaps UT engine is an updated Unreal engine, it's still better
