There are alot of theories about Black holes, the Black hole produces or consumes alot of energy and that energy can be photographed or something like that, I'm not sure. However, black holes leaves waste and some energy behind like a drop of water that goes through a super heated room a simple trail.

About the form and image of a black hole, they see it's indeed a disc spinning but it can have a other form. If you look right into a black hole and if the hole was placed in front of the sun, you'll see a strange vertical blurry line:

The air will begin to blur because of the massive and dense gravity.

And some scientists said, that a black hole will simply crush you with the gravity and speed that pulls you into the center.

Ex? What was you calculation? To my idea the black hole would take this long to reach our homes:

v = s/t

v = 400,000 km/h = 111111 m/s

c = 299792458 m/s in vacu

I have to agree with Timenn, but the Galaxy is filled with suprises.

Maybe there is a black sun in our solar system waiting to consume the world! Ahhhhhhhh!

:)

How can space influence light? It can't be possibly a obstacle for a black hole or light.

Have you heard about the "double-universe" theory? I read it somewhere last year, and it said that our own universe is connected to another one. Connecting these two is a "feather" of some kind, and when it reaches its final lenght, it collapses resulting in both universes colliding and creating two new universes. And so it goes on forever...

I don't like the idea of the white hole. Otherwise my idea on the big bang wouldn't be correct. All matter must fit eventually into a very very very small dot

no it doesn't. must is not a good word here. you think it should, yet no natural law could account for it. and even if it could, no natural law could account for it to then explode. furthermore, no natural law can account for the source of this so-called 'dot'.

enter stage left: atheistic supernature - something from nothing!

Well, I was telling my idea...

I think the whole universe is eventually build up by nothing, some fibrations of nothing. Every time when there is discovered that a particle exist out of more particles then there is a huge space between those particles. Realise it. A great part of matter is empty.

So when you let collapse all together you will get a tiny dot that is very very heavy.

About the theory of more universa. I believe the multiversum theory is true, where there millions of universa existing together. And every universum is a different reality. It was one of the many continuations of the quantum physics

i believe that the universe is something...which is different than re-arranged nothing.

matter is not empty. the volume of an atom is mostly empty, but protons and neutrons are not- and they represent "matter"

So when you let collapse all together you will get a tiny dot that is very very heavy.

a neutron star of our sun would be about 14 kilometers accross. this would be 99% volume of neutrons with virtually no empty space inside. but still, its larger than a tiny dot- and thats just 1 star.

Yes! Many people believe in Buddah, or Vishnu. I, for one, believe in God - the Greatest Possible Being. It's nice to share our faiths with other people. Faith is a good thing, I agree.

"something from nothing!"

Who said it had to come from anywhere? It was never created... it was never not there to be created - there was never a time before time, nor length outside length... a contradiction in terms.

The other question is, what made the "nothing" become active and gather itself into some matter? How long was it inactive before it became active? And where did the nothingness come from? Remember, everything must come from something. And if the universe has been collapsing and reborn endlessly, then why has this everything happened? Why was there nothing just forever, then all killings and misery wouldn't happen :O ... no just kidding. Anyways, those are the questions I think science will never get the answer to. Basically, I think we should be happy to be alive, instead of wondering why.

Under different temperatures it goes at different speeds. There was a test done where they either stopped the light or came very close to stopping it at almost absolute zero temperatues.

"Speed of light in a vacuum = 2.998E8"

wait..... isn't space a vacuum .... and so wouldn't light travel at a constant speed in space
