I have noticed that the prequels seem to have some pretty similar ideas.

For example:

1. Rhombur is injured but his lover doesn't care

2. Ix Has been invaded

3. Nobility tries to liberate Ix

1. Xavier Is injured but his lover doesn't care

2. Geidi Prime Has been Invaded

3. Nobility tries Liberate Giedi Prime

Kinda similar huh?

good point khan, it just shows, they are obviously infurior to Frank herbert, but you got to admit at least there producing dune books for fans to read.

They are similar, yes. But when you boil things down to basics, you can make almost any two books sound similar.

true true vanguard. It reminds me of some scientists taking Moby Dick and finding Codes inside it like the bible codes. Sometimes we read into things too much.

I wrote a short story on it a Loooong time ago on the fan fiction forums when they first started up. check it out. :) It was when my writing was a lot worse than now.lol but I think I did a good job. :)
