I have noticed that though many people through history have been effected by disorders of brain chemistry. I have just noticed though that people now days are so being pumped up with anti depressents and stimulants in order to psychoactively change a persons mood or mindset. I myself have had to take them. Is this right though? Are we just trying to solve problems with pills, or are the pills actually effective? Frankly I dont know, because we hardly know anything dealing with brain chemistry and even where the disorders are effected in our brains. Just seems like we want the quick fix now days. seems kinda scary.

I believe prescriptions can be useful, and right, in cases that can't be cured with counseling of some sort. Depression is just a chemical state, I don't see why it matters how you alter you're still altering it.

To be honest, a day at sea, or a walk in nature can have the same effect as those pills do.

I think the reason nowdays people grab pills, is because of the economical status the world is currently in. Jobs are a lot more stressful, even lifes are. I think people need to just take a step back and think about themselfs and look a bit more around, instead of just straight forward. Like said, a walk in nature can cure a lot of things :)

My dad does a lot of walking, theroputic I suppose. I have a routine set out for myself. I add something to my book (my magna opus), listen to some music, read my book, and then watch the scifi channel or comedy central. Without this routine I'd probably lose my mind.
