Worst military move was battle for Stalingrad. Paulus marched to suburbs very quickly and his northern wing protecting bridges to prevent Russians to pass them trough and attack from back were composed mostly by minor forces from Romania and Hungary. Russians lured Paulus to weakly defended Stalingrad and then started offensive against Romanians to encircle whole 6th army. And Paulus was too slowly reacting to avoid it.

Also if you'll be some kind of military commander, prevent any Paulus to lead your army ;D In Second Carthag War Rome also had one Paulus, which was a favourite toy of Hannibal. He haven't found any trap.

Agreed about Leningrad, Stalingrad and Vietnam. Also I'm not sure if the raid I'm thinking about is Dieppe so please tell me. What happened was some civilians were called up, given arms sent into France to attack a German watch post reached it and the Germans had gone of to watch some films. The British retreted to the beach made a small fort out of what they could find and waited. The Germans didn't come and the ships to take them out would be leaving soon. All but one got away as he couldn't swim. He was captured as a POW and spent the rest of the war as one.

battle for leningrad!!!!

Which battle? It was besieged until Russians turned score for them on other fronts. It was a dead point like Verdun in first war.
