They say it's possible to dispose of the hacked items. All I can do is pray that they will :)

that would be kool.... but if they did, it doesn't really matter people always find a way past it.... i started playing on regular b.net, where u start a character from scratch, and i saw ppl that used hacks in there as well, though i can't figure out how they got them in ???

Hmm, my comp works with different user profiles, and mine was deleted (my brother tried to solve a network problem, and it didn't help either >:(). Now I can't view the cinematics anymore. Does anybody know of a program that unlocks the movies?

Download a MPQ viewer, which can be found on net. Videos are binks I think, so it can be easily viewed. Other way is to create an...ehm...aritificial character. Download Shadowmaster and make it quickly. We will forgive you...

About "muling", I thought that any game that was quit would remain active for another five minutes? I dumbed a couple of gems in a game and then wanted to join it as another so I could transfer them, but the game was gone >:(

You need to stay in the game for 5 minutes or longer after you've created it. Only then will it remain there for 3 minutes when you log out.

That explains it I guess. Fortunately I only lost a few chipped gems and 2 unimportant rings.

Btw, today I created a game and then a person joined who couldn't have been above level 10 because of the level restrictions, and he gave me some truly awesome weapons and then immediately left. Now I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but is there any risk that these are hacked? The level requirement for them is still relatively high, so I guess they're authentic, but still.

about the possibly hacked items:

that all depends, if you post the stats, it will most likely be quite obvious... also if the name sounds really way out of whack like glowing white gloves of humperdinkle or something stupid, it's gotta be hacked...usually people make a character that they use just for trading items, so that they have a full stash to store stuff in, and they usually dupe all of the items before they trade (unless they are just not any good) so they don't loose anything, and you gain some stuff...

I don't suppose that if they were hacked, the cheater would have given them such high requirements because that would be pointless.

The Atlantean is an excellent sword for a Paladin. You do not get that many times... If those aren't hacked items, I'd say the person who gave it to you ws extremely nice :)

if those are all of the stats, then they aren't hacked, unless whoever hacked them is really bad at hacking, and the names sound like things I have picked up before... they are good items ;)

As you can see, it is one of the best weapons in game. Ancient Sword is an exceptional form of War Sword, I've found its Unique, the Culwen's Point on Nightmare difficulty when I've killed Mephisto, so I don't think he would give something what is about two times better to you... If you haven't played on Realms, than you've just encountered someone who likes Jamella editor. It can make any other Unique or Set item, excluding some, which has written in it bad definitions (like Butcher's Pupil or Heart Carver has too in my version - don't think I use others ;) )

Earthnuker's items look OK. I've found an Undead Crown with defense 129, so if it was hacked, then it was at least by better way. But for that shield... It is very weird, but -318 strength requirements? I have to be on LSD to believe it's normal ;D
