Well, work should start soon again; I know I keep saying that, but as I'm getting a new motherboard, there is now only a remote chance of anything else going wrong (Vidiware; I was having trouble becuase the video chip was, erm, buggered).

I am now half considering making Tleilaxu a full 'Major House' faction...and as no one seems to want to even help me with ideas, there will be fewer sub-houses. That said, I think that I may have Richese all sussed now.

If anyone could help me out, I could *relly* do with an in-gmae pic of the EBFD Tleilaxu flier, and also som suggestions for Corrino architecture (pix would be very helpful).

IX or Recheece could be really nice to have in your game!

A lot of Planes would be nice too!

Maybe some yuri like buildings for Corrino, or make a reall nice Palace or indian style, like in Aladdin

I need a pic of the tleilaxu flier, some critical appraisal of the Corrino units (earlier in the topic), ideas for the Corrino superweapon, names for Richese units and for Corrino units and any pictoral ideas that you have regarding the imagery for Corrino buildings (even hand-drawn and scanned....)

As an aside, my laptop has finally been restored to me (yay!! :D), and I now have a full copy of ArchiCAD (professional edition) 2002 aswell.

Expect some new unit pix and the odd building pic to land here soon! ::)

Ideas for the Corrino Superweapon?

A superweapon -> like the ones WW always do. A missile, invulnerabilty, some sort of mutator... You know.

Making a new House (Corrino) distinct and fair along with the Harkonnen, Ordos and Atreides is really quite hard to do.

My ideas on this are still quite hazy, and will prolly be subject to change.

Anyone who gives me creative input *will* be seriously considered (as always), but will also have the chance to influence the feel of a whole Great House...

I suppose it would be very destructive but not a missile.

Well, so far I have;

Atreides - Orbital Laser (high-precsion, narrow effect)

Harkonnen - Death Hand Missile (low accuracy, large area effect, remains on map)

Ordos - Chaos Storm (multiple missiles, causes units to go beserk and attack everything in range)

Corrino - Shield of Faith (invulnerabilty on a small group of vehicle units for a short time)

But originality aside, I'm not that happy with Corrino getting a renamed Iron Curtain... and I'm not too sure about the Atreides 'Ion-Cannon' either.

Any ideas?

I was only going to give the Great Houses superweapons.

And EMP logic was removed from RA2 - even DeeZire could't get it to work :- Sorry.

After all you could use Cyborg graphics from TS for the Ixians and Richese would have all stealth stuff

"Mechs extract from Tiberian Sun" = Cheating; I'm doing all-new graphics!

And a plain stealth tank is a bit of a poor showing on its own - the CnC Nod Stealth Tank was overpriced and feeble. An Invisible MBT is way too powerful for a subhouse, or even anyone! How would you find them untill they attack you?

Cloaking is fine, but I need some original weapon systems to put on these units...

Also, for Ix, I rather wanted to keep the EBFD units, even if their Projector gets a new weapon, and the Infiltrator loses stealth...

And what do you all think of the Corrino list I posted?

how do you plan to make the deviator weapon?

I plan on giving the Deviator a weapon that works like the Chaos Lightning Superweapon in E:BFD. Only it'll look like a gas cloud. Bit fairer/more useful that the gas making units switch sides (esp as the projectiles a re quite slow - fast units just run away).

The IX Projector.

I'm really pleased with the normals on this one, but then it is the only one so far to be normalised properly (i.e. by hand!)...

The Ixian Projector tank can project a holographic image around it, mimicking the appearance of an enemy tank. Once it is amongst the enemy, it unleashes radial waves of energy, damaging everything with in a sizeable radius.

Note that firing its weapon doesn't destroy it (unlike the Infiltrator's weapon), but once the deception has been exposed, it will be lucky to survive ::)
