personnally i find the infantry in most westwood games enarly useless and i was wondering how to change the dune2k infantry to not being squishible? i found a mod but it messed up some other stuff at the same time so i wanna change it myself.

If you try Emperor you 'll find out that infantry isn't useless at all there.

As for dune2000, IMO troopers are quite effective at all tech levels.

In the campaign missions troopers are required for early base defense, but I don't know about multiplayer.

In Tiberian Sun, infantry is VERY useful. :)

In Emperor, i think that infantry isn't all that usefull. Sardaukar and Fremen are. But normal infantry lacks true power. Good thing however is, that they are cheap...

Infantry is essential for victory in emperor. Period.

In EBFD infantry are very usefull. They are good supporting units ( clam strategy ) and they do not cost much. Sards and fremen are the best infantry.

Continious infantry production is the key in winning the game. Visit the emprworm strategic guide for more explination .... :) some publicity

Infantry is already pretty good deal at $50 a pop...what really kills them is explosions from buildings you destroy:(
