*SPOILER* DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN BOTH THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING AND THE TWO TOWERS!!

There's a part I don't get.

[hide]In 'The Fellowship of the Ring', there was a part where Frodo was stabbed by the unholy blade of a black rider, and he was slowly being corrupted and turned evil by the poison. Arwen 'sacrificed her grace' (i.e. her immortality as an elf) to save Frodo. Now in 'The Two Towers' Elron was saying to her that she should forget Aragon, because she will live forever and eventually see the day that he dies, whether it is by the sword, or simply by the passing of time. I fail to understand how she can live forever if she has already given up her immortality to save Frodo from corruption.[/hide]

Someone clarify please? ???

[hide]the way i see it is that she didn't sacrifice her immortality. she may have done so in the book but i guess she didn't in the movie. :- i'm not totally sure though.[/hide]

I'm not really sure about the first movie, but in the book it's like this.

[hide]Arwen can stay with Aragorn while the elves abandon Middle Earth, but she would become mortal like Aragorn.[/hide]
