Acriku
Shields repel objects at a certain velocity, but what if the velocity was you in a shield falling from the roof of your house to the ground? Would you bounce off?
VigilVirus
Yes, that is a pretty high velocity. Shields only let through objects moving really slow.
Acriku
Well what exactly occur? Would you be repelled until the velocity reached minimum and then it goes through the ground, in other words fall, be cushioned, and then let down in a matter of a second? VigilVirus
Definetly cushioned to minimal velocity. Lol, you wouldn't literally bounce off ;D
Dante
Except maybe it would slow down so suddenly as to make little difference... Splat. In other words.
Acriku
When it repels, it takes a lot of velocity to be taken away for the ground to go through the shields (the speed of a slow knife), so I think that the velocity taken away will greatly reduce injury. VigilVirus
You won't die anyways, even if you have no shield - the house is usually only 1-2 stories high.
Acriku
Well of course it can be experimented with from a cliff later if the house thing is successful :P
VigilVirus
Well of course it can be experimented with from a cliff later if the house thing is successful :PYeah, later the product would be sold to people with a desire to commit suicide ;)
Lord J
It would end the need for Bungee cords... :)
nemafakei
As suggested above, the sudden change in velocity would shatter whatever was directly attached to the shield generator.
