Bouncing Shields...

Shields repel objects at a certain velocity, but what if the velocity was you in a shield falling from the roof of your house to the ground? Would you bounce off?

Yes, that is a pretty high velocity. Shields only let through objects moving really slow.

Well what exactly occur? Would you be repelled until the velocity reached minimum and then it goes through the ground, in other words fall, be cushioned, and then let down in a matter of a second?

Except maybe it would slow down so suddenly as to make little difference... Splat. In other words.

When it repels, it takes a lot of velocity to be taken away for the ground to go through the shields (the speed of a slow knife), so I think that the velocity taken away will greatly reduce injury.

You won't die anyways, even if you have no shield - the house is usually only 1-2 stories high.

As suggested above, the sudden change in velocity would shatter whatever was directly attached to the shield generator.
