homosexuality and where it stands morally

In my school, we have a club called Latinos En Accion (Latino's in Action). It only allows Latinos in it, and no one else. Now isn't this progress in our school? It's stupid sh*t like LEA that pisses me off. Why don't we have a Whites In Action club or how about Nazi's In Action? If we did that we would be deemed racist.

It's not the same thing. Don't put them in the same basket.

In all over the world there are :

In Chile : US residents club : only US citizens are allowed.

In US : Chilean club : only chilean citizens are allowed.

Apply that for any country.

US-Chile Chamber of commerce : Only companies with investment in Chile and USA are allowed to be members, one company with invesments in Europe and Chile cannot be a member.

Apply to any country reciprocal chambers of commerce.

There are no problems with it, it's a normal practice.

But when you say Whites in action, then you are making a completly different statment, that's not base on some location or origin, it's case on race, and that's racism. It would be wrong if it were " White Latinos in Action", that's wrong.

Zamboe, this is a school club. This has nothing to do with the government. In my school there is segregation still (look at the LEA post). How about Africans only club? Or a European only club?

No difference, since the point is the location or origin.

In my own place, where I study there is a "Exchange students group" only students from other countries that came for exchange can be members, no matter what I do, I can't be a member, but it doesn't mean I can't participate in some of their activities, which is something I do sometimes.

The LEA only allows Latinos, and only members can do the LEA activities, so...this is different from your example. I wonder how I would look if I tried to start a European In Action club (pictures being beat up by black people)

Emp we've been through these circles...You place different values on discrimination in different situations, I place different values on the actual place. I say no discrimination whatsoever, and I have a very specific definition of what is and what isn't discrimination. If a priest wants to talk about how God is a product of human weakness at an atheist conference, fine! Let him! You say that discrimination is ok as long as it isn't supported by the government. You have a LOT of nerve to say I have a lot of nerve when your arguements are just as...how shal I put this...contrary...

Example, you say that discrimination in the workplace is wrong because businesses are issued liscenses by the government. Your country DOES NOT follow this at all. Some examples, using your bizzare logic:

1) All car insurance companies, yes, thats right, ALL OF THEM, charge WAY more for young people, for males, and for single people without kids than they do for older people, married people and for women. All car insurance companies are issued liscenses by your government, are they not? Why is this blatant discrimination allowed to continue? That's as ludacris as charging immigrants more because, based on some stupid statistic, they "commit more accidents than native Americans". Or as stupid as charging aboriginal people more for health insurance because their race is more prone to heart disease. The government is advocating discrimination by not revoking the liscenses for these seedy businesses. Worse still, EVERYONE who owns a car has to buy insurance from these discriminating companies.

2) Public libraries that are publicly funded and managed carry all sorts of racist and discriminatory books. Mein Kampf is available at my local library RIGHT NOW. The government is, once again, advocating discrimination.

3) Book stores that are liscenced by the publicly funded government also contain racist books. The publicly funded government grants these business liscenses so, again, they're advocating discrimination.

4) Countless studies show that pretty much anyone who isn't a white male makes less money for doing the same job in your country. How can your government use public taxdollars to liscence businesses that do this?

5) Immigrants from Hati that apply for asylum are THROWN IN PRISON while their application is pending.

6) The publicly funded military still doesn't really allow gays to join.
